Abstract
A semiconductor laser diode with circularly symmetric waveguide is proposed , its property is studied by scalar finite-difference time-domain method (S FD-TDM). The results show coupling loss between the semiconductor laser dio de and single mode fiber is reduced effectively, the minimum coupling loss is 0.7 dB.
