M. Munzl et al., Controlling movements - Magnetostrictive linear transducers increase reliability in injection moulding, KUNSTST-P E, 90(1), 2000, pp. A76
The control of movements in injection moulding machines requires linear tra
nsducers to feed the stroke information back to the controller. Until recen
tly, potentiometric linear transducers were normally used. Now the market s
hare of non-contacting, magnetostrictive linear transducers is increasing b
ecause of their increased reliability.
