Abstract
The kinetics of oxidative decomposition of Erythrosin B dye using the 123-c opper superconductor was studied carefully in aqueous solution under condit ion of pseudo first-order reaction. Many of the kinetic parameters were inv estigated in this paper. Results obtained indicated that the rate of oxidat ive decomposition of Erythrosin B dye was found to be pH-dependent. Further more, the effect of added KCl and SDS anionic surfactant on the reaction ra te reveals an increase in the case of KCl and its decrease in the case of t he SDS surfactant. A mechanism was proposed and the activation parameters w ere calculated for this oxidative decomposition reaction. (C) 2000 Publishe d by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
