Abstract
CAD-oriented analytic formulas for. calculating the quasistatic TEM paramet ers of a broadside-coupled open and dielectric-overlayed asymmetric coplana r waveguide (BC ACPW) with one lateral ground plane are obtained using the conformal mapping method (CMM) which can provide accurate and fast calculat ions, The effect of the dielectric overlays on the mode velocity ratio and coupling coefficient are presented and discussed. The accuracy of the close d-form expressions has been confirmed by comparison with results available in the literature for broadside-coupled dielectric-overlayed CPW and broads ide-coupled micro CPW.
