Gianotti-Crosti-Syndrome is a cutaneous reaction associated with a wide ran
ge of infectious diseases. We report on an 8-year-old girl who presented wi
th a symmetrical papular and papulovesicular acral eruption. The rash occur
red during an otherwise asymptomatic Epstein-Barr-Virus (EBV) primary infec
tion, serology For Hepatitis B virus was negative.
Discussion: Besides Hepatitis B Virus, especially EBV and other viruses sho
uld be considered as causative agents in acral papulovesicular eruptions. T
he differential diagnoses atopic dermatitis and drug eruptions have to be r
uled out.
