Abstract
Effects related with the formation of charged microareas (CM) in surface la
yers of dielectrics under exposition to electron beams was found. These are
as reveal themselves in electron optics as convex micromirrors. Ring-type c
harge distribution near the boundary of CM is observed. Main characteristic
s of CM were determined. Possible applications of micromirrors are discusse
