Abstract
We report the observation of the electromagnetically induced inhibition of two-photon absorption with atomic sodium vapor as a test medium. A 60% redu ction of two-photon resonant absorption was recorded at the 3S-4D transitio n when a cw coupling laser was applied at the 3P-5S transition.
