Abstract
Self-consistent calculations based on real-space tight-binding linear-muffi
n-tin-orbital formalism have been carried out to study magnetic properties
of vanadium adlayers grown on Fe(001) and Fe(103) substrate. The effects of
imperfections such as surface steps and interdiffusion have been investiga
ted.
