Abstract
European Union legislation, and existing national legislation of many Europ ean countries, mandates thar manufacturer take back and recover their elect ronic and electrical equipment. If manufacturers are to comply with legisla tion, models need to be developed for these activities. Whilst infrastructu ral al and technological deficits exist and must be addressed, so too must the organization of recovery, from a business perspective. In this paper, m odels of resource recovery are presented and a case study described.
