Abstract
A variety of novel ligands have been generated by Vilsmeier formylation of Hantzsch pyridines. These compounds which we call DOTTADs contain two aldeh yde, imine or amine functions flanking a central pyridine nitrogen and can be homochiral or crown derivatives.
