This article reviews the published proceedings of the 1993 and 1995 confere
nces of the International Society for Theoretical Psychology, namely Trends
and Issues of Theoretical Psychology and Problems of Theoretical Psycholog
y. The international diversity of the authors gives rise to a broader treat
ment of relevant psychological issues and their solutions. The topics cover
ed in these volumes demonstrate fine scholarship and raise many provocative
questions and ideas. Topics range from issues that are specifically pertin
ent to certain subdisciplines of psychology -such as linguistics, cognitive
science, personality theory, history, social psychology and methodology-to
theoretical issues that are relevant to the discipline as a whole. Several
individual articles from both volumes are discussed, and general strengths
and weaknesses of the boobs are explored.
