Identification and differentiation of aeromonads, pseudomonads, vibrio and other oxidase positive bacteria., TIER UMSCH, 55(2), 2000, pp. 89
The second article in the series is concerned with oxidase positive bacteri
a pathogenic to fish. These represent the majority of bacterial isolates fr
om fish, The genera Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, Vibrio and Pasteurella and the
species Plesiomonas shigelloides are described in detail. Their importance,
the disease conditions associated with them and the investigations require
d to identify them are provided. Simple diagrams for the identification and
differentiation of the important oxidase bacteria pathogenic to fish are g
iven for interested microbiologists.
