Abstract
The survival of different vibrios in association with a red-tide-causing or ganism Amphidinium carterae was studied in the laboratory. Vibrio alginolyt icus and V. harveyi could not survive beyond 14 days in an actively growing culture of A. carterae. On the other hand, V. parahaemolyticus could be de tected up to 40 days.
