A method of computation of tidal waves in a marginal sea is suggested.
The method is based on transformation to the curvilinear body-fitted
coordinates. The method is applied for modelling of tidal dynamics of
the Barents Sea. The effect of the main factors on modelling accuracy
is investigated. Results of the M-2-wave and residual current computat
ions are presented. Zone boundaries with different friction velocities
are calculated. These boundaries determine transition of the sediment
ary rocks into suspension.
