Abstract
Six bottom biocoenosis are the most abundunt in the Olenekskiy Bay of the Laptev Sea. Benthos species of the southern part of the Olenekskiy Bay are characteristic for the estuary-arctic water masses. The botto m biocoenosis under study are characterized by a high settlement densi ty (up to 2200 species per/m(2)) and a low biomass (44.0 g/m(2)). The number of species increases with distance from shore and with depth.
