Abstract
In this work the wettability of polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (c BN) with silver alloys containing different amounts of alloy additions of the titanium group was studied. The experiments were carried out a t 1000 degrees C under a pressure of 1 x 10(-3) Pa. The wettability in the systems being studied increases from Ti to Hf Differences in the structure of the transition layer depending on the type of alloying ad ditive used were observed which affect the adhesion between the metal melt and cBN.
