Abstract
The performance of a modified Syntron vibra-flow sediment feeder was tested . The modified feeder utilized a cone-shaped dispersing fan to redistribute sediment uniformly over the feeding width of 62 cm (24.4 in.). Results for three different soil materials showed that the maximum deviations over the delivery zone were 10%, 15%, and 22% for coarse sand, fine sand, and a sil t loam soil, respectively.
