Abstract
Parallel actin bundles are present in a diverse array of structures, where they are critical determinants of cellular shape and physiology. In the pas t 18 months, new findings have solidified the concept that parallel actin b undles are assembled in cells through the sequential action of multiple act in-bundling proteins and have begun to shed light on the roles played by th e individual actin-bundling proteins.
