MULTIMEDIA INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION - INFRASTRUCTURES, TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS

Subject of the contribution is an analysis of internet ressources conc erning the topic ''multimedia''. This topic is understood as immateria l products, services and the corresponding IT-infrastructure in the co ntext of the structural change towards information society. The analys is is based on information in German and English. Bs an overview econo mic aspects of multimedia information systems including legal aspects and information from the job-market, will be presented. Furtheron the IT-basics of these systems are given as foundations for its design, de velopment and use in the industry and the public sector.
