Simple analytical three-dimensional eddy-current model

An explicit analytical solution is given to the diffusion equation in the c ase of an elementary wire above a half-space or a plate, in and out of a st eady-state approximation. The integration of this nonclosed solution along an arbitrary contour is discussed.
