Abstract
Infrared absorption technique is employed to investigate the structural spe cific groups which are present in the glasses and their corresponding glass -ceramics obtained from the systems Li2O-SiO2, together with investigating the role of CaO, Al2O3 and K2O additives. The crystalline phases in the gla ss-ceramics were identified using X-ray diffraction technique.
