The magnetic properties of the U1-xDyxSi2-delta systems were studied in the
4 to 600 K temperature range and fields up to 8 T. The magnetic behaviour
of USi2-delta was discussed in terms of the spin fluctuations model. The sy
stems having x less than or equal to 0.8 show a similar behaviour. The para
magnetic Curie temperatures are negative and the effective magnetic moments
per uranium atom are almost linearly decreasing from 3.57 mu(B) as x incre
ases. This behaviour is attributed to a gradual quenching of the spin fluct
uations determined by the local internal field due to the Dy atoms. (C) 200
