Densities rho and speeds of sound u for {x(1)C(4)H(10)O + x(2)C(6)H(14) + (
1 - x(1) - x(2))C4H9Cl} at T = 298.15 K and T = 313.15 K, and the constitue
nt binary mixtures {xC(6)H(14) + (1 - x)C4H9Cl} at T = 298.15 K and {xC(4)H
(10)O + (1 - x)C6H14}, {xC(4)H(10)O + (1 - x)C4H9Cl}, and {xC(6)H(14) + (1
- x)C4H9Cl} at T = 313.15 K have been measured. The isentropic compressibil
ities kappa(S) the excess isentropic compressibilities kappa(S)(E), and the
speeds of sound deviations Delta u have been calculated for both the binar
y and the ternary systems, from the experimental data. The isentropic compr
essibilities have been compared with calculated values from the free length
theory (FLT) and collision factor theory (CFT). (C) 2000 Academic Press.
