Abstract
A gradient strong magnetic held was applied to levitate an ammonium chlorid e solution droplet, and the behavior of crystal nucleation and growth in th e droplet was investigated. Moreover, the gradient strong magnetic field wa s applied to control the crystal position in the solution, and the "levitat ing" crystal growth in the solution was succeeded without any contacts with the container walls and the solution surface.
