Abstract
Extracranial meningiomas comprise two per cent of all meningiomas. Primary extracranial meningiomas are even less common. The authors report the first case of a primary extracranial meningiomas of the soft palate, which prese nted as an intraoral mass. This was treated by surgical excision and there was no evidence of tumour recurrence at four years of follow-up.
