The authors demonstrate a new detection method, indirect suppressed conduct
ivity, for various anions of weak acids separated by ion chromatography. Th
ey analyzed three groups of anions, including amino acids such as leucine,
taurine, phenylpropionic acid, and phenol; malic and tartaric acids; and la
ctic, formic, and benzoic acids. The authors describe the mobile phases, de
tection limits, and correlation coefficient of rectilinear relationships fo
r each anion type.
