G. Pelosi et al., Finite-element boundary-integral analysis of electromagnetic scattering bya buried dielectric object, MICROW OPT, 24(6), 2000, pp. 422-426
The standard hybrid finite-element boundary-integral (FE-BI) technique has
been extended to deal with the problem of electromagnetic scattering from b
uried objects. The presence of the ground-air interface is taken into accou
nt by using the half-space Green's function, thus reducing the number of un
knowns necessary to numerically solve the problem. The problem has been con
veniently formulated by using the field transmitted into the half space con
taining the object as an incident field. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
