Abstract
We optimise the positioning of guiding filters in a fiber-optic transmissio n system with periodic dispersion compensation. It is shown that stabilizat ion of pulse energy fluctuations and interaction reduction for adjacent pul ses that propagate in the same channel may be achieved whenever the filters are placed at optimal points within the map.
