Abstract
Focus wave modes are a particular example of distortion-free progressing wa
ves (DFP-waves). We show how these DFP-waves appear as solutions of the sca
lar wave equation. We present a new family of such waves with an applicatio
n tron to Bragg diffraction. We conclude with a discussion of their propert
ies.
