Abstract
Analytic and exact form is derived for the propagation matrix to describe e lectromagnetic waves propagation, reflection and transmission properties of isotropic chiral slabs and multi-layers. Using this form a faster speed of the calculation is demonstrated. The enhancement of chiral reflection in a Fabry-Perot configuration is presented. We found a controversy with the ex isting expression derived by Schmidt and Eidner (Optik 84, (1990) 43-46) as well as part of their numerical results which is attributed to some errors in their solution.
