We report a case of aggressive osteoblastoma of the scaphoid bone and discu
ss the features of this tumor. The few reported cases emphazise the rarity
of osteoblastoma in hand and wrist localizations. Pathological examination
is mandatory before treatment due to lack of distinctive clinical and radio
logical features. In our case, the rapidly aggressive progression, similar
to a malignant tumor, required radical treatment with scaphoidectomy.
