Abstract
A solution is found to the problem of determining the field in the regio of the measurement coil during the eddy-current inspection of a nonmagnetic p late located between the measurement coil and the current coil in the case when the latter coil is fed pulses with a high-frequency duty factor. Calcu lations are performed to determine th electric field and the sensitivity of the transducer to the thickness of the plate and the conductivity of its m aterial. For comparison, calculations are also performed to determine the s ensitivity of the screen transducer for the case when it is supplied with s imple harmonic current. The corresponding graphs are also presented.
