Abstract
Based upon broad-band CCD observation data of comet Hale-Bopp obtained by a 60 cm telescope at Xinglong Station of Beijing Astronomical Observatory du ring March-August, 1996, the photometric results of comet Hale-Bopp are rep orted. Using the photometric results, the dust production rate, radius and mass of nucleus of comet Hale-Bopp are estimated as follows: d M/dt similar to 1.5 x 10(5) kgs(-1), R-n similar to 35.5 km, and M-n similar to 5.65 x 10(16) kg.
