Abstract
Survival of greater than or equal to 5 years was seen in 8 of 153 patients (5%) with primary systemic amyloidosis and cardiac involvement. All patient s with survival of >5 years received chemotherapy and all but 1 had an obje ctive chemotherapeutic response.
