Rr. Martin et al., METALS IN THE ANNUAL RINGS OF EASTERN WHITE-PINE (PINUS-STROBUS) IN SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO BY SECONDARY-ION MASS-SPECTROSCOPY (SIMS), Canadian journal of forest research, 27(1), 1997, pp. 76-79
Secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) has been used to examine the di
fference in metal content between different years among trees at the s
ame site and the same year at different sites across southwestern Onta
rio. Significant differences are evident for each comparison. Individu
al differences may be attributed to site location, such as increased s
odium at sites influenced by road salt.
