T. Fujihara et al., Solid and solution state structures of a reversible molecular oxygen-carrying molybdenum porphyrin dioxygen complex, CHEM LETT, (2), 2000, pp. 102-103
The molecular structure of a reversible oxygen carrier, (MoO)-O-VI(tmp)(O-2
) has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. Oxo and dioxygen ligands
are actually coordinated with cis conformation, which leads to a saddle-li
ke distortion of the porphyrin ring. The result of 2D ROESY shows the disto
rtion of the porphyrin ring is retained in solution.
