Abstract
Arthroscopy is effective for the diagnosis and treatment of many orthopedic problems of the canine elbow joint. Minimal morbidity encourages early exa mination and detection of pathologic changes. A cartilage resurfacing techn ique is indicated in many cases of elbow dysplasia; abrasion chondroplasty is one such technique that can be performed with arthroscopic assistance. T his article discusses arthroscopic equipment and principles, the technique for medial approach elbow joint arthroscopy, and the adjunctive role of uln ar osteotomy or ostectomy in elbow joint arthroscopy.
