Abstract
40Gbit/s packet wavelength routing and 2.5Gbit/s header replacement is demo nstrated using an ultra-high-speed wavelength converter. Burst-mode bit err or rate measurements are performed on both the header and payload before an d after wavelength routing with < 4dB penalty in the payload and < 2.5dB pe nalty in the header.
