Biological diagnostics and soil monitoring

The definition of biological diagnostics of soils is given. The possibility of using a set of biological parameters based on the study of soil microfa una (Protozoa), algoflora, and biochemical activity for the purposes of bio logical diagnostics and monitoring of virgin and anthropogenically transfor med soils is discussed. Approaches to ecological standardization of soil-bi otic systems for the assessment and prediction of ecological situations and for intelligent management of natural resources are considered.
