Abstract
A broad range of studies has established that heat shock proteins (Hsps) po tentially play a role,in tumor immunosurveillance. Here, Andrew Wells and M iroslav, Malkovsky highlight recent data that demonstrate a causal relation ship between the expression of Hsps and tumor immunogenicity, and suggest s everal mechanisms by which Hsps might influence the capacity of a tumor to induce nn immune response.
