Ad. Wells et M. Malkovsky, Heat shock proteins, tumor immunogenicity and antigen presentation: an integrated view, IMMUNOL TOD, 21(3), 2000, pp. 129-132
A broad range of studies has established that heat shock proteins (Hsps) po
tentially play a role,in tumor immunosurveillance. Here, Andrew Wells and M
iroslav, Malkovsky highlight recent data that demonstrate a causal relation
ship between the expression of Hsps and tumor immunogenicity, and suggest s
everal mechanisms by which Hsps might influence the capacity of a tumor to
induce nn immune response.
