The present work focuses on the description of shot noise for Volterra seri
es analysis. A basic mathematical shot noise description is presented. This
description is based on Dragones classical work. Two examples of the theor
y are presented: The first example investigates the fundamental properties
of a shot noise source. The second example investigates the analysis of sho
t noise in a simple non-linear network through the use of Volterra series.
In both examples very good agreement between theory and numerical experimen
