Q. Li et al., RADAR TARGET DISCRIMINATION SCHEMES USING TIME-DOMAIN AND FREQUENCY-DOMAIN METHODS FOR REDUCED DATA-STORAGE, IEEE transactions on antennas and propagation, 45(6), 1997, pp. 995-1000
Two correlative radar target discrimination schemes using the transien
t and spectral scattered-field responses are proposed, These schemes u
se time-domain and frequency-domain methods to reduce the amount of da
ta that must be stored for each anticipated aspect angle, A discrimina
tion range in degrees is used as a measure of discrimination performan
ce, Experimental results show that the two methods require roughly sam
e amount of storage space and an accurate discrimination is possible i
n adverse noise situations with signal-to-noise ratios (SNR'S) as low
as -10 dB.
