Abstract
The results of the study of the kinetics and mechanism of the process of leaching low-quality bauxite with hydrochloric acid are presented. Results obtained show that leaching of about 95% of Fe2O3 is achieved from the basic mineral, hematite, together with up to 5% of Al2O3, whi ch is contained in the bauxite as the mineral kaolinite.
