Neonatal lupus erythematosus (NLE) is an inflammatory syndrome in the fetus
or neonate associated with the presence of anti-Ro(SSA) and anti-La(SSB) a
ntibodies in the mother. It is characterized by a combination of dermatolog
ic, hematologic, hepatic, and cardiac manifestations. NLE has been reported
in twins; we describe neonatal lupus erythematosus occurring in triplets.
