Abstract
It is shown that the method of nonlinear transformation (NTR) is a powerful tool for obtaining approximate analytic solutions of nonlinear ordinary di fferential equations (ODEs), Special attention is paid to the performance o f a family of double exponential NTRs. Applications of the double exponenti al NTRs to some nonlinear third order ODEs in the normal form are given wit h numerical examples.
