Buckling and vibration of delaminated composite orthotropic beam-plates wit
h multiple delaminations have been studied using the reduced flexural stiff
ness method. Series solutions of the governing equation of motion and the R
itz method for beam-plates with both ends simply supported and clamped boun
dary conditions are discussed. Some typical multiple delaminations, such as
overlapping and nonoverlapping delaminations, are considered. Numerical re
sults based on both methods for simply supported boundary conditions are fo
und to be identical. It is found that the method is effective in analyzing
the buckling and vibration of beam-plates with multiple delaminations.
