Dv. Khveshchenko, Ballistic transport through a narrow constriction in the presence of a composite-fermion electromagnetic environment, PHYS REV B, 61(8), 2000, pp. 5610-5614
We study ballistic charge transport through a narrow channel connecting two
compressible quantum Hall liquids at even denominator filling fractions v
similar to 1/2p. We find that due to the Coulomb coupling to gapless bulk c
harge excitations, the current shot noise in the channel exhibits detectabl
e deviations from, yet remains close to, the prediction of the phenomenolog
ical model of an impurity embedded into a Luttinger liquid with the Lutting
er parameter equal to the filling factor v.
