Abstract
The angular distribution for the breakup of B-x --> Be-7 + p on a Ni-58 tar get has been measured at an incident energy of 25.75 MeV. The data are inco nsistent with first-order theories but are remarkably well described by cal culations including higher-order effects, The comparison with theory illust rates the importance of the inclusion of. the exotic proton halo structure of B-8 in accounting fur the data.
