Abstract
By alternating-current electrochemical synthesis, the crystalline pi-comple x [{(CH2=CHCH2-)(2)N-CHO}Cu(NH2SO3)(H2O)] (I) has been obtained, using copp er(II) sulfamate and diallylformamide (DAFA) in water-methanolic solution a nd copper-wire electrodes. The single crystal of the compound was X-ray str ucturally characterized. The Cu atom possesses trigonal pyramidal coordinat ion, formed by nitrogen atom of sulfamate anion and two C=C bonds of the sa me DAFA molecule at the equatorial plane and the oxygen atom of H2O molecul e at the apical position. Hydrogen contacts for the most part by (N)H ... O and (O-w)H ... O bonds of 1.98(3)-2.24(2) Angstrom connect separate moieti es of the mononuclear complex into a three-dimensional framework. The effec tive atomic charges in I are calculated.
