Thirty-three raspberry genotypes were evaluated in controlled environment c
hambers for their reaction to Erwinia amylovora (Burr.) Winslow el al. afte
r wound inoculation. Symptoms appeared after 6 days in susceptible genotype
s and consisted of necrosis and bacterial ooze. Area under the disease seve
rity progress curve was used to quantify disease. Several primocane-fruitin
g genotypes proved to be highly resistant to fire blight.
